DirectRooms.com can confirm that the annual Rheingau Wine Festival will take place between the 31st of August and the 9th of September 2011 in Frankfurt, Germany.

July 11, 2011 (FPRC) -- This eleven-day festival allows local producers to showcase their products in the beautiful and charming Fressgass, Frankfurt's quaint restaurant district, which is located in a pedestrian zone on the Grosse Bockenheimer Strasse and the Opernplatz.
Visitors will be able to enjoy over 600 different wines from around the Rheingau region ranging from the finest, lightest summer wines and sparkling wines to the more alternative grapes and, of course, the region's most famous wine ? Riesling. As is customary, the Fressgass businesses will offer foods that best complement the wines on offer and stall will be open daily throughout the whole festival between 11:00 am to 11:00 pm.
The festival has been a yearly event since 1978, and its sole aim has been to bring local producers and consumers together to meet face to face. The festival is expected to attract in excess of 400,000 people this year. One of Frankfurt's best attended traditional festivals, the Rheingau Wine Festival will, as in previous years, offer no entertainment nor a programme, standing true to its original principle ? that this is all about the wine.
Entrance to this event is free, visitors attending the festival and looking for an accommodation in town, there are huge selections of hotels in Frankfurt offering a wide range of accommodation options. Book early now to avoid disappointment.
