VII Amphi Festival to be held in Cologne between 15 and 16 July 2011

July 11, 2011 (FPRC) -- The two-day festival caters for fans of gothic, alternative and industrial music, and expects to attract at least 13,000 people per day. Acts that have already been announced for the festival include Clan of Xymox, Covenant, Das Ich and Agonize.

Parking is provided free of charge and in close proximity to the venue, and is open from 2:00 am on Friday the 15th until 8:00 am on Monday the 18th. Visitors should not bring their own food or drink onto the festival site; however, they are free to leave the site and return as they see fit to purchase their own refreshments.

Ticket prices are ?45 for a one day ticket and ?62 for the weekend. Group discounts are available, with a buy five, get one free-standing offer. Tickets are available through a number of outlets including the Amphi Ticket Shop, Ticket Online or through Ticketmaster and Eventim/CTS offices. There is also a 24-hour ticket hotline in operation. There is free admission for children under 12, as long as they are accompanied by a parent or guardian.

The Tanzbrunnen is an open-air venue that is very popular in Cologne. Built in 1928, it is ideally situated on the Rhine and offers panoramic views across the city. Covering 30,000 square metres it is the perfect venue for events of this size.
