CHARLIE'S TRIPS - A new-looking science-fiction novel in the tale-for-children style, about a young soldier in a special condition after a space-time travel

July 9, 2011 (FPRC) -- LONDON, ENGLAND ? Jack Felson?s Charlie?s Trips is a fiction story that uses some of the famous past myths and today?s values (family, marriage, religion, television, celebrity...), and reverses or enriches them.
Charlie Bradshaw is an American kid soldier from the deep Middle West who gets caught by a tornado ? the connection with The Wizard of Oz stops here, the rest is total science-fiction with some more involved. He's disintegrated inside the tornado and... reintegrated 21 years later, on the West Coast. He's found unconscious on a beach. But his brutal appearance, which is very quickly publicised ? nobody knows his name and where he came from ?, makes him hailed as somebody very special (like the Christ) by always more and more people.
Things go even worse for him as he emerges from coma with a terrible prediction (another disaster, an upcoming earthquake) without being aware he's live on TV camera; later on he realizes that he lost his memory... and gained an ability to see in the future.
Written in a simple, straight, very cinematic way, Charlie?s Trips is an insolent tale of science-fiction that plays with several literary and cinematic myths, as it introduces us to a new kind of hero: an ?amnesic psychic? ? able to see in the future when he lost his past ? and a total outcast in a stranger world, unable to do anything but wonder about himself and his situation and condition, and totally dependent on the others? actions. As it also asks us this question: is it possible to live in ?reverse mode??
Jack Felson?s Charlie?s Trips is published through his own company, Two Colors Ventures, Ltd., based in United Kingdom. It?s visible for sale on amazon.com, before its availability to worldwide bookstores and online retailers, in a few weeks from now.
