July 11, 2011 (FPRC) -- Arad Hebrew Song Festival is an annual festival. This year the festival will include performances by some of Israel?s finest singers and choral groups. Some of the featured acts at this year?s event will include Margalit Tzanani, David Broza, Matti Caspi, Gidi Gov, Yizhar Cohen, Danny Sanderson, Avihu Medina and Shalom Chanoch.
There will also be a number of free events including a concert by the Gevatron Singers and a midnight concert by Shuly Natan featuring the works of Naomi Shemer and others. As well as music, the festival will include street theatre performances and shows, all of which will be free to attend. In addition, entrance to galleries in the city will be free.
The Arad Hebrew Song Festival started in 1982 and is one of the oldest music festivals of its kind in the country. The three-day event focuses on Hebrew music, and thousands of young people attend it each year. As well as being a venue for the country's best musicians, this festival also offers a chance for many of Israel?s new artists to be heard.
There are a number of hotels in the Dead Sea area to choose from. They cater for a range of budgets and tastes, and provide ideal accommodation for visitors who want to stay for the duration of the festival.
