August 24, 2011 (FPRC) --Los Angeles, CA-August 24, 2011-The Michael Williams Band is poised to make their mark with an energy filled release titled Fire Red. With legendary producer Eddie Kramer producing and behind the mixing board, Williams and his band were immediately put in the driver?s seat. Kramer, of course, has produced Hendrix and countless other great musicians since the 60s.

Michael Williams Band dip into the well of influences such as Hendrix on Fire Red but make no mistake, they have their own style and sound that will leave you wanting for more. With a recent successful release party on June 6th at the House of Blues in Houston when the band opened for Blues Legend Buddy Guy, they were off and running, blazing their own distinct and memorable blues-rock trail. They also had 17 dates over the summer opening for Guy, Johnny Lang, Robert Cray and Eric Johnson. Each act is an established name in the circle of blues influence.

July 14, 2011 (FPRC) -- Singer, songwriter and producer Chris Walker has spent the greater part of his life profoundly centered in the music industry, where he has been producing and developing artists. Today, Walker is ready to put his artist hat back on and is set to release a new project on Pendulum Records in association with he and partner Ray Davis? label, Walker Davis Entertainment. The debut project, titled ?Zone? is due out August 23rd, 2011, and is the first commercial release for Walker in years, but it?s as if he never left. Walker has re-joined forces with renowned music industry executive, Ruben Rodriguez, CEO of Pendulum Records. Pendulum Records is synonymous with success having launched the careers of musical greats such as Grammy Award-Winning Digable Planets, critically acclaimed Boogiemonsters, hip-hop?s legendary Lords Of The Underground, a number one pop single, ?Lately? with the urban pop trio Divine and of course, Chris Walker. Together, Walker and Rodriguez are no strangers to success. In 2008, they signed Grammy Award Winning Artist Regina Belle and released her first Gospel album. The first single quickly achieved the 2nd highest number of radio spins at gospel radio in the past decade, according to R&R. The first single ?I Got That Love? is evidence that Walker hasn?t missed a beat by any means. The mid-tempo groove is a refreshing testament to love-making for the grown and sexy. The track, produced by Chris Walker, is a culmination of some of the influences Walker credits with his love of music including Donny Hathaway, Marvin Gaye and Luther Vandross. His vocal range treads the scale with a romantic delicacy that marries his lower register and falsetto perfectly, as is showcased in his cover of a classic Luther Vandross song, ?If Only For One Night?. With the experience of his craft as his backdrop, his vocal styling?s set him apart from the pack thanks to his distinguished and recognizable style. ?Performing is like an out of body experience for me? explains Walker. ?And I do whatever it takes to translate that feeling to my audience when I perform.?

The Houston native gained recognition in the early 90?s as a musical director for Regina Belle and Al Jarreau. Walker later signed on as the first artist to Pendulum Records and experienced a new level of achievement, as a solo artist, with the release of ?First Time?, which produced two top five singles; ?Giving You All My Love? and ?Take Time,? which crossed over to become top 30 on the pop charts. June 8, 2011 (FPRC) --Brooklyn, New York-Multi-instrumentalist Jim Oblon and "Thin Veil" have been hard at work putting together an album for several years now. After six years, the album One has arrived and it was well worth the wait. The alternative rock release will be a welcome addition to any music fan?s collection.

One features Oblon and pianist Craig Hartley, in a project that would rival some of the best recording today. The literal audible nirvana that Oblon and "Thin Veil" have created is something truly beautiful; they take the pain and suffering of a tormented physical life and turn it into beautiful music. From the ethereal wisps of sound in ?Ghost? to the nightmarish pain in ?Head of the Baptist? and ?Apple,? this is an unforgettable trip not only for the artists, but for listeners alike. While the musical talent on the album is readily apparent, what really lies behind "Thin Veil" is spiritual pain and the true way out of earthly suffering.

Music was to eventually carry Oblon beyond his childhood dance with the spirit world, to a new world of existence that would confront and battle his false past. He studied at the Berklee College of Music and befriended a Capuchin chaplain. That experience would take him to New York. He became a session musician, where he would work with Paul Simon, Phil Ramone, and others. His past would continue to haunt him into adult life, until he met with a traditional priest that performed an exorcism. That moved him into the next phase of his life.

Oblon calls "Thin Veil" a product of all the ugliness of the material and physical realms, and One is his deliverance.

Leave it to music to provide the ultimate transcendence and mirror. Sometimes the sounds that musicians create are their own ticket to another true time and place. Jim Oblon and "Thin Veil" with their ability to transform suffering to joy, is the maze and final way out, that is portrayed throughout the masterful One.
